ISRO Merchandise Design

Intro
This branding project for Space India focused on designing merchandise inspired by ISRO’s landmark missions, including Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, and various satellite programs. The objective was to translate complex space narratives into visually engaging graphics that are both informative and aesthetically compelling. The wrapping paper was conceived as an information-rich visual surface, where data, diagrams, and mission elements are thoughtfully organized through graphic representation. Designed to spark curiosity, it allows the buyer to engage with India’s space journey while appreciating the clarity and balance of the design. Complementing this, the T-shirt designs explore simplified graphic interpretations of space missions and launch elements. Subtle yet impactful visuals were used to celebrate scientific achievement without overpowering the wearable format, making the merchandise accessible, educational, and visually enduring. The overall design approach balances storytelling with restraint, ensuring the merchandise feels contemporary, collectible, and rooted in India’s space legacy.
